Music is a vital, growing part of our ministry at HUCC, because music both gives expression to our souls and speaks to our spirits as nothing else can.  We include as many people and their musical gifts as possible in our music ministry.

 

Hand Bell Choir

Our 5 octave Hand Bell Choir, under the direction of Joe Green, has developed into a high quality ensemble that inspires us with wonderful music every month. 

 

Chancel Choir

Our choir, under the direction of Joe Green, rehearses Sunday mornings.  Our choir sings both traditional and contemporary worship music that never fails to touch and inspire us.

 

 

Worship Band

Our Worship Band specializes in upbeat music that lifts our spirits in inspiration and praise.  This outstanding group of musicians plays monthly, and is open to a variety of instruments. 

 

Children’s Choir

Our Children’s Choir is directed by two dedicated church members who enjoy helping teach our faith through music, rhythm and motion.  Sometimes individual church school classes also share music they have learned with the whole congregation. 

 

Organist/Pianist

Robin Bower, our organist and pianist, has been with us for some 30 years, and continues to develop his versatility and virtuosity.  You never know when the sound of steel drums or violins will come forth from our Clavinova electronic piano.

 

 Instrumentalists

Anyone with a musical gift is invited to share it with the church.
